You Carry A lot.

Online Therapy for Women’s Issues throughout California

You’re exhausted.

As a woman, you navigate countless roles—career professional, mother, daughter, partner, caretaker—and often, all at once. Whether you're striving for balance in your career, raising children, supporting aging parents, or handling the invisible mental load of keeping everything together, it can feel overwhelming. You might be making endless compromises, feeling like your needs are always second. And sometimes, it feels like no one truly understands just how heavy the weight of these responsibilities can be.

Maybe you’re navigating menopause, or a divorce, experiencing disordered eating, or feeling the residual strain on your friendships. Perhaps you're experiencing health challenges or facing the caregiving role for a loved one. It could just be the weight of it all—feeling like you’ve lost yourself in the process of meeting everyone else’s needs.

In this space, there is no judgment
only compassion and understanding for all that you carry.

Relief is possible.

In therapy, you’ll find a space to pause, where the relentless demands fall away, and you can begin to reclaim your inner voice. Our culture places immense pressure on women to be everything to everyone, often at the cost of well-being. Here, we will explore a different narrative, one where your needs and desires are given space to breathe. Together, we can unravel the societal expectations that have defined how you ‘should’ be in the world and reconnect you with the beliefs that feel true to you. The demands may be many, but you don’t have to manage everything alone. Relief is possible. Together, we’ll unpack the weight of these responsibilities, work toward clarity, and find a balance that allows you to meet your own life with joy and peace.

What might we explore together?

  • Challenging Cultural Norms – We’ll look closely at the beliefs that have shaped you, sifting through those that no longer serve, to find those that feel authentically yours. Therapy is a space to explore a different path, where your worth is not measured by how much you give, but by how fully you live.

  • Setting Boundaries – You deserve relationships and roles that honor your needs, not drain you. Together, we’ll create boundaries that respect your time, energy, and emotional health, allowing you to show up in a way that feels sustainable and true.

  • Rediscovering Your Voice – Beneath the many roles, there is a voice that is uniquely yours. Therapy invites you to reconnect with this voice, to nurture your desires, and to create a life aligned with your true values, on your own terms.

Frequently asked questions about therapy for Women’s issues

FAQs

  • Working through issues that brought you to therapy can lead to changes you may not have initially anticipated. These shifts might involve changes in behavior, employment, substance use, education, housing, or relationships. At times, a decision that feels right for you may be challenging or even upsetting for your partner. In such cases, couples therapy is often recommended.

If you and your partner are facing a specific, limited issue, I may be able to meet with you both once to work toward a resolution. However, for ongoing work, I will refer you to a skilled couples therapist who can guide you both through more comprehensive relational challenges. If you'd like to consider working with me as your couples therapist, please reach out so we can discuss this option. I am happy to work with you and your partner together, but please note that I offer couples work in place of individual sessions, not in addition to them.

  • As challenging as it may be to hear, therapists don’t offer direct advice. However, there are many ways I can support you in the parenting journey. One key area is psychoeducation—helping you understand developmental milestones and what behaviors are typical at various stages of your child’s life. Often, it can be immensely reassuring to learn that the struggles you’re facing are a normal part of parenting.

Another powerful way therapy can help is by working with you to improve communication skills. Together, we’ll explore ways to communicate that feel authentic and achievable for you, whether it’s setting boundaries, mirroring and reflecting for a young child, or navigating a tough conversation about loss or change. Therapy provides a supportive space to develop the tools and language needed to tackle these challenging conversations and connect with your child in a meaningful way.

Finally, we’ll explore how your own upbringing influences the way you parent. One of the greatest fears parents often have is unintentionally repeating the mistakes of their own parents. Together, we’ll identify any patterns—conscious or unconscious—that may be affecting your ability to be the parent you aspire to be.

I believe that vulnerability is not weakness—
it’s a path to resilience.
